I think I'm going to take a more Zishan-esque stance on off forum drama among people I am not necessarily friends with. I can moderate the forums, I can be friends with people off of them, and all of that. However I have a life and a job and there is no point looking for trouble. However when you do stumble across it, it's always nice to see who has your back. I can't make everyone happy. There will always be a handful of people who dislike me. Maybe these people lack a certain emotional intelligence and maturity, maybe we just have a different values system or set of opinions. Regardless I'm happy with the way I'm doing things.

I think one thing I've been getting criticism for is siding with "the little guy". New people, or even people like Demmin. People who are hated for whatever reason or another. I may be losing cool points over this, but honestly I don't care. I can sleep better at night knowing I didn't take part in the spanish inquisition of "shitposters" or whatever is expected of me by a fraction of the community. It isn't the job of the moderator to remove people from the forum just because they are unliked for some intangible reason. I have a set of rules to work with, if you break them we have power. If someone isn't breaking them, then get over it.

Hey maybe we should start thinking of termlimits. Perhaps I've been "on the hill" for too long and "out of touch" and all those things sarah palin says.

The important thing is that I had a fun time last night hanging out with Concertina and Evan and Boston Crew. We went to a very delicious Indian Restaurant mmm
